It’s 10 days until our “Bayou Last Call” at The Hamilton in Washington. Tickets are just $20, and that goes directly to help with final production costs on the film. Hosted by Cerphe, the night will be a musical retrospective from many of the great local and regional musicians who played The Bayou, going all the way back to jazz great from the 1950’s – John Eaton! More info & tickets here: http://www.thehamiltondc.com/live/calendar/#/bayou-presents-last-call

We’ll also take a moment that night to raise a toast to Bayou greats who are no longer with us…”Wild” Bill Whelan…Allen Klein…Eva Cassidy AND Chuck Brown. We first began taping for our documentary in late November and December of 1998. We interviewed Chuck Brown backstage, and he appears in the film talking about singer Carl Anderson, and later he’s onstage with Eva Cassidy during her final show in 1996. But we just recently discovered that we had some raw video of Chuck Brown’s performance on Christmas night, 1998. We had two separate portions which Joe Cox has here nicely put together. Bayou fans, Chuck Brown fans…ENJOY!
