MTI was hired by the Canadian company TechnoPlanet Productions for a one-day shoot covering the Ingram Micro “ONE, The Innovation Summit” event held at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at National Harbor. The task was to provide video crew and equipment to produce news interviews for use on the company’s eChannelNews site. The company would do the editing and post the footage online. eChannelNews has been covering the tech industry for two decades.
About ONE, The Innovation Summit
The summit had the lofty goal of bringing together thought leaders, vendors, and businesses to explore the future of technology. Two highlights were John Dusett from Ingram Micro, which put on the ONE Innovation Summit event, being interviewed by Julian Lee of eChannelNews, and Julian Lee interviewing Stephen Nichols from Acronis, the cybersecurity and data protection company.
Think Global, Hire Local
eChannelNews reporter Julian Lee was doing the standup interviews. Wesley Bailey of Metro Teleproductions was the videographer, using two Sony FX30 cameras, Aputure lights, and wireless microphones to capture the scene. Having two cameras recording at once from different angles for interviews allows for more and typically better options when editing video following the event.
