MTI Helps Stop Super Speeders

Metro Teleproductions was hired by the communications firm Doyle McDonald to cover a press conference from the national nonprofit organization Families for Safe Streets. The topic was the fact that Virginia became the first state in the nation to empower judges to order “super speeders” — repeat and extreme high-speed offenders — to install Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) devices in their cars. The ISA is a technology that prevents a vehicle from exceeding the speed limit. Speed-related deaths surged after COVID and count for nearly a third of all U.S. road deaths.

The event was held in front of the Ellen M. Bozman Government Center in Arlington, Va., and speakers included a retired judge, a National Transportation Safety Board member, a lawmaker, police officers, and people affected by excess speeding.

Slowing Down To Make Sure Everything Is Covered

Albert Liesengang was the cameraman. He shot with a Sony FS7 for the press conference. For a video demonstrating the ISA anti-speeding device, he shot with a Sony FX30.

The video was edited by Bill Parks of Dominion Post, and Bill also sent a copy to a TV station that could not attend the event. Here is the video:

Full Service Means More Than Just Filming
