Video Production for “A Celebration of Hope” Launch Event

MTI was honored to be chosen to record the launch event, “A Celebration of Hope,” organized by Serena Liebengood, the founder of the Howard C. Liebengood Foundation. Serena is the widow of United States Capitol Police officer Howard Liebengood, who protected the Capitol against assault on January 6, 2021, and then died by suicide three days after that traumatic event. The new foundation’s mission is to “improve the health and wellness of law enforcement officers.”

Notable speakers, livestream and pre-recorded

Noble causes often attract notable speakers and this was certainly the case at the Hamilton Restaurant in downtown Washington, D.C., where the event took place. The lineup included U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Congressional Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senator Chris Coons, and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. Some of the speeches were presented over videotape but most were live.

Full video production with a small crew

Despite the numerous luminaries involved, this production was handled with a simple two-man crew. John Bogley was the live streaming director and Todd Burger was the videographer. Equipment included the MacBook Pro Encoder, Sony FS7 MII 4k video camera, and Aperture lighting.

MTI is proud to be considered for producing such inspiring events as this and looks forward to producing your next livestream or in-person video.
