Maximizing Production Value

Repeat clients are never to be taken for granted.

Maximus is a leading provider of health and human services to federal, state, and local governments and MTI is delighted to provide video production for the company’s quarterly livestream and in-house meeting events. The latest event was recently held at the company’s headquarters in Tysons Corner.

It is a one day, set-and-go affair. Our team arrives in the morning to set everything up and test all the equipment. The show lasts an hour to an hour-and-a-half, after which the crew packs up.

The key on a job like this is the following:

• Make sure to bring all of the equipment
• Have backups in case there is an equipment issue onsite
• Test everything out as soon as it is set up
• Interact with Maximus personnel onsite in terms of the format of the show and any last second changes they want to implement

Arrive Early and Test, Test, Test

The MTI crew was Analee Wong, director; Ben Wong, lead videographer; Rob Sanchez, audio engineer; and Wesley Bailey, second camera. The program was a three-camera switch, with PowerPoint slides.

The necessary gear included three Panasonic cameras, three tripods, a switcher, microphones, multiple lights, monitors for two of the cameras, batteries, and lots of accessories. With a worldwide audience, it was especially important to make sure everyone was fully connected with all the pieces in place.

Be Prepared, Then Prepare Some More

While MTI has produced video events for Maximus many times over the years, we never fail to appreciate the continued support, nor to fully prepare for each job as if it were the first. Good clients are never taken for granted. Just like showing up with everything charged and extra batteries on hand.
