MTI helps Working Families Party deliver a true State of the Union
We can certainly say that the state of Metro Teleproductions’ business is sound. We were proud to partner with the grassroots organization Working Families Party to deliver a livestream response to the bloated State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Pennsylvania Representative Summer Lee delivered the speech for the progressive group, outlining a compassionate and transformative approach to governance.

Working out of the StudiowerksDC facility on Capitol Hill, this was a two-camera shoot, with the second camera focused on the sign language interpreter. Captioning was provided by AI Media.
Signal to Noise
John Bogley was the Director and Greg Fabic handled the streaming, using the ATEM2 switcher. The livestream feed went out to both Facebook and Youtube, reaching thousands.
Much of the pre-production discussion was about the actual streaming. This was not a job that could be handled as a simple mobile hotspot. Dependability of the broadcast signal is always a vital aspect of any livestream production. In the end, the crew set everything up so that the message could be delivered clearly and cleanly to voters looking for clear, honest answers.
Indeed, after the stream, the client wrote this heartfelt thanks:
“We reached half a million people with our broadcast and still counting, as well as multiple follow-up segments amplifying our message and work.
