Helping a previous client produce a successful livestream between multiple locations.

It’s always nice to be asked back by a client, especially a client like IBM. MTI was hired once again by Steadynow Productions out of New York City to be the local producer for IBM’s first-quarter sales kickoff meeting. This was a hybrid event, with MTI providing technical logistics at the D.C. location, which was part of a global livestream. Our primary responsibility on show day was to livestream video from the D.C. office to corporate headquarters in New York.

Production Equipment

So it was fortunate—and necessary—that we had a full day to prepare and set the site up beforehand. There was a lot of equipment to truck in, test, and configure. This included two Sony FS7 video cameras, the Spiderpod tripod riser to elevate the cameras, Blackmagic ATEM 2 switchers, a Behringer audio board, the Atomos Shogun Record monitor, Aputure lights, a JBL PA system, multiple wireless mics for the team leader and Q&A, and Macbook Pros for streaming. This livestream production project also included a “robo camera,” which was run by remote control for capturing audience shots.

Reliable Return Video Crew

The production team was director/TD/streaming director John Bogley; audio engineer Josh Roberts; with Albert Liesegang, Shawn Chadwick, and Todd Burger on cameras.

The event went off without a problem and we look forward to helping make next year’s production a success as well.
