MTI stays current and competitive with the latest video production technology.
Metro Teleproductions always keeps up with the latest gear and methods for producing the best quality video and audio. So we have acquired a new Sony Alpha 7S III, a compact handheld camera that can capture strong 4K video images, plus regular HD as well as extremely high resolution photographs.
Along with the camera, we’ve added the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer, which connects to the camera to give shots a smooth and magical “floating” quality. Getting smooth imagery from a moving camera was a longtime goal for filmmakers. The first and perhaps still most famous example is from the 1976 film Rocky, where Sylvester Stallone runs up the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. That shot was made by Garrett Brown with his newly invented Steadicam, which stabilizes the camera and eliminates jumpiness—the image seems to glide.

New Video Production Tech in Action
While Steadicams are still in use, for lower-budget video productions, the new small cameras and gimbals make producing shots that look like they are from big budget Hollywood movies quite simple.
