MTI Helps the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau Launch Its New Strategic Plan

As another tax season looms, MTI was called to help the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau present its strategic plans through 2027. A part of the Treasury Department and better known by the acronym TTB, the organization’s production featured more than 20 speakers, with presentations over Zoom necessitating both full-screen and picture-in-picture display. Adding to the challenges, the event took place in a fairly small space.

The Right Crew With the Right Equipment

The two-person crew consisted of streaming director John Bogley and videographer Shawn Chadwick. The team had to be at the site by 7:30 a.m., with all equipment set up, ready, and tested by 9:30 a.m. to ensure a smooth start for the 10:30 a.m. showtime.

The equipment included the Sony FS7 MII camera, Macbook Pro encoder, plus all the necessary microphones, monitors, lights, and cables. The client supplied a large screen display and the hardwired Internet connection.

The event went off as planned and TTB is on the road to achieving its goals, among them to “Improve Taxpayer Experience and Tax Administration.” So perhaps when you get your tax refund this year, MTI deserves some of the credit? We’d like to think so.
