Following up on our recent article covering DIY webcasting or streaming using a mobile device, we’d like to introduce Metro Teleproductions! Even though we’ve been around for a while, if you’re a brand who is new to hiring a video production service or camera crew, you may not have heard of us. You also may be considering doing DIY camera work, so we invite you to learn more about us!
We’re Experienced
Metro Teleproductions is one of the oldest companies in the DMV region. Our first webcast was in 1998 for Washingtonpost.com, the Washington Area Music Awards, also known as the Wammies. Paul Young, at the controls on the Wammies event, went on to become a true internet geek, he was head of streaming for the State Department, and then moved to the SEC before his early passing last year. He was truly a visionary. Back in 1998 he said about video streaming, “This is going to be the next big thing,” and he was right.

For any job, you must prepare for contingencies, such as a presenter that may not make it and that you will have to bring in live, remotely, at the last minute. As a video production team, we’re fluent in being prepared for and handling such situations.
It’s all about preparation and communication with our clients. This is live TV, somet
